    Facilities

    Bowls Facilities

The Club has two top class full sized grass greens, arguably the best on the Sunshine Coast, a well-stocked bar,  indoor and outdoor eating areas, and outdoor BBQ facilities. The ground floor of the club is used for most bowling events, and can accommodate up to 120 bowlers inside the air-conditioned bar area.

Since the club is run by volunteers, bar prices are kept to a minimum. Volunteers also prepare cooked breakfast, lunch and post-game nibbles for our renowned Sunday Open Fours events

    Night Bowls

Both greens are equipped with lights, which enables the Club to run evening bowls throughout the warmer months. Currently social bowls is scheduled for Tuesday nights from October to April.

Night bowls in the warmer months is ideal for those who work full time, or prefer the cooler conditions

    Disappointments

Sometimes, despite the best of planning, the Qld weather gets the better of us.

    Club Facilities

The Clubhouse and outdoor BBQ area

The fully licensed clubhouse is ideally suited to a wide range of community based activities. On the ground level is the licensed bar area while the upper level , which has an expansive outlook over the bowling and croquet greens, comprises a large timber dance floor, carpeted dining area and a large kitchen.

The large undercover area at ground level is perfect for barefoot and corporate bowls days. With built-in BBQ and nearby bar facilities the venue is ideal for small outdoor get-togethers and parties which may, if you wish, incorporate a game of bowls.

    Both levels are air-conditioned.

For information about costs of hiring facilities, playing barefoot bowls etc. see our Venue Hire page below.

    Upper Level Dining

The upper level has ample room for dining for up to 100 seated guests, as well as a large dance floor. Adjacent to the dining area is a fully equipped kitchen.

The dining area overlooks the bowling greens and the croquet club grounds.

By combining the two areas, up to 180 guests can be accommodated comfortably.

    Functions

The upper dance floor and/or dining areas are ideal for training sessions, seminars, and group meetings.

The area is air-conditioned and includes a public address system.

    Dancing

Why not come and join the Rock and Rollers on a Sunday afternoon, perhaps learn or brush up on your Line Dancing or Rock n Roll on a Weekday evening.

    Coaching

Coaching for beginners and experienced bowlers is provided free of charge by the Club Coaches. Lessons can be group based or one on one, and are normally tailored to suit the needs of the bowler.

Two or three times each year, practice/coaching sessions are also provided by district coaches at our Club, and players from all clubs are welcome to take part.

While informal coaching is often provided by club members and coaches during Barefoot or Come & Try days, bowlers are encouraged to benefit from the free coaching provided by our experienced accredited Coaches.

The Clubhouse areas (upper or lower levels) may be hired separately, and their availability is subject to bowlers’ requirements. In most cases, the bar will be accessible and will be staffed by Club volunteers.
